Who We Are


Many minds and many years of experience set the base for what makes our firm, GDT LLC Architect & Engineers today.

Our history is read with GDT LLC Architect & Engineers from 1978 to present, formerly headed with Augusto Gautier & Asociados in 1968, and starting back in 1963 with Llenza & Gautier. Augusto R. Gautier first established the firm as a partnership in 1978 with Francisco R. de Torres. Over the years, our team of professionals have kept GDT LLC Architect & Engineers at vanguard with superior technical knowledge and creative insight. By applying the most innovative expertise we assist our clients in achieving excellent results.

Key Consulting Architect

Architect Augusto R. Gautier successfully acted as the Managing Partner of our former firm, Gautier & de Torres Arquitectos · Ingenieros. His 61 years of professional practice in site development, architecture, project management and coordination of over 500 projects as well as comprehensive knowledge of government procedures at local, insular and federal level, gives him extensive expertise and experience in Federal and Local government projects.

He was a member of Evaluator & Arbiters Panel of the Bureau of Alternate Methods for Conflict Resolutions of the Supreme Court of Puerto Rico; member of the American Arbitration Association Panel of Neutrals – Commercial Panel; and President of Colegio de Arquitectos de Puerto Rico (1986-1988). He was co-founder and partner of our former company Gautier & de Torres; Principal of Augusto R. Gautier & Associates; Partner of Llenza & Gautier, Architects; Head of Building Design Division at the Department of Public Works of P.R. – Building Design Division; and U.S. Army Corps of Eng.- Ft. Ord Post Engineer.

Enery M. Dorta, RA, NCARB

Partner, Senior Architect & Project Manager

Ms. Dorta’s design and programming capabilities derive from her background education, continuing education courses, and seminars.  She specializes in integrating management, planning, and design fundamentals for the development of efficient construction documents. These abilities have become an asset to the design team in projects such as government facilities, detention centers, public and private housing, healthcare facilities, commercial enterprises, and the food industry.  Her involvement has been from conceptual design, construction drawings to interior and exterior architectural designs.

As Project Architect, she has been responsible for coordination with other disciplines, design, working drawings, specifications writing, value engineering, shop drawings revisions, payment certifications, and job site inspections and observations.  Additionally, she oversees the drawings production and codes compliance.

As Senior Architect, she has acquired extensive experience in the planning, design, and document development of Public Housing, Schools, Industrial, and pharmaceutical projects. Ms. Dorta is specialized in healthcare planning and design, with over 20 years of continuous experience in projects under the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs; and Public and Private Hospitals. Also, she has provided services to the US Postal Services (USPS) for over 14 years.

Carlos E. Gautier, PE, MBA, AIT

Partner, Contract Administrator & Project Manager

Mr. Gautier acquired ample experience in design, operations, management, and quality control in all aspects of manufacturing and warehouse facilities during his 14 years tenure as manufacturing and process engineer as well as Project, Manufacturing and Warehouse Manager, in the pharmaceutical and electronics industries. Mr. Gautier is the Contract Administrator and Project Manager for other private and commercial projects ranging from $200K to $40 million in several fast-food companies, offices, hospitals, warehouses, and developments.

As Project Manager for Johnson & Johnson CPI and Wang Laboratories, he led projects relative to all new products developments directly from R&D or transfers from other facilities around the world, into a 120,000 sq. ft., manufacturing facility in Puerto Rico, while managing, coordinating, and designing the manufacturing process jointly with other disciplines. Mr. Gautier has vast experience in Commercial and Public Facilities, with over 20 years of experience in Restaurants.
